Wall planter Family by Hikimi

Hikimi (Roberto Blefari) is a freelance illustrator based in Turin (Italy) who specializes in translating complex ideas into simple and impactful images. Trained in graphic design at IED in Turin, he has worked with clients like Google, The Guardian, WeTransfer, and Mondadori, spanning advertising, publishing, and visual communication. His cheerful style, characterized by vivid colors, visual metaphors, and irony, invites reflection and a smile.

In Roberto Blefari's words: "I decided to propose a collaboration with CitySens because I love their products and indoor plants in general. During the pandemic, the vertical planter I’ve had at home for seven years became the protagonist of an illustration, and since then I’ve dreamed of collaborating with CitySens."

"Regarding the illustration, the word Life (originally created from the plant’s roots) becomes a plant itself, growing and developing."

"I followed the idea of placing them on planters using vinyl stickers, so I looked for balance and composition. I worked with color but later realized that a monochrome option would be simpler and more suited to the CitySens wall planter. So, I kept the idea of highlighting water with a palette of blues."

• Use peach pits at the base to provide extra drainage to the substrate.
